SAUSAGE HAND
SPARKPLUG COMIC BOOKS
I think our readers will really enjoy this one. Take Adult Swim shows like Xaxier: Renegade Angel and Superjail!, boil them down into a small black-and-white comic book, and you’ve got Andrew Smith’s Sausage Hand. In a style distinctly his own, Smith blurs the lines of surrealism and personal narrative in 76 pages of a mindfuck. Part stoner trip and part existential journey, Smith’s frenetic storytelling is provocative and disturbing. In addition to Jekyll-and-Hyde-like themes of good & evil and love & hate, there’s also some social commentary buried underneath layers of mentally unstable characters relating to human economy. Sausage Hand will certainly take readers by surprise as it forces them to surface their darkest, deepest demons. Definitely worth your six bucks.
